Hi all- Bianca just messaged in to say she is at The Balcony. This is one of the only flattish spots on the way, so everyone takes a short break here, maybe has a drink, and changes their oxygen for a new tank.
It’s not quite half way there, but pretty close. She seems to be going really well!
We thought we might radio in from here, but she seems to be continuing on up!

Great news. I think she’s past where she had to turn around last year right? Did she say how the weather was? That’s really the only obstacle now, as she’s much stronger and fitter (and older) than last year. Congrats on creating such an awesome young woman!

I came across Bianca’s social media posts as she climbs Mount Everest and I am in complete awe and admiration! I am so impressed! What a precious life moment to share with the parents as well. I have a good friend who is a filmmaker and has summitted Everest several times. I have always admired the strength and courage of all that have chosen to do this incredible feat! Sending positive energy and prayers for a safe summit and return to base camp. I look forward to the updates by Bianca’s mom and the news of a safe descent. Cheers from South Carolina, USA!

I am supposed to be getting my son ready for school but cannot tear myself away from Bianca’s tracker. I have become so invested in a complete stranger and the quest she has worked for so tenaciously. She is so very close to the summit now and we are cheering her on. You go girl! You’re amazing!
Fiona and Paul, I can’t imagine what this is like for you to watch. I would be reaching for the supplemental oxygen myself at this point, even at sea level!
